No account. No servers. No tracking. Halm writes your daily stories, illustrates them, and translates words entirely on your iPhone — and syncs progress only through your own iCloud, which Halm itself can’t read.
Why on-device matters
Most AI language apps send what you read, type, and translate to a cloud model. That’s a lot of trust to place in a third party for something as personal as how you’re learning.
Halm takes a structural shortcut around the problem: the entire content loop runs on the iPhone using Apple’s on-device Foundation Models. If nothing is sent away, nothing can be logged, sold, or leaked. Privacy stops being a policy you have to believe and becomes a property of how the app is built.

There’s no third-party analytics library in the binary.
